In addition to adequate water intake while on a quick weight loss diet, it is also good to eat healthy nuts and fats, green vegetables, and supplements.  Diets are most effective when the snacks and meals are divided into six or seven smaller portions throughout the day, as opposed to three large meals.  This will ensure that one is getting the proper energy throughout the day.
